7 Ways to improve your Quality of Life

Have you been feeling stressed out and depressed?

Do you feel like any drive or motivation you once had has just depleted or disappeared?

If not right now. Great! Keep doing what you are doing and enjoy your life today and everyday.

If yes.

No worries. I got you. It happens to most or all of us at some point and most of us can easily fix it by making some very important lifestyle changes.

If you are suffering from any of the anxiety and depression disorders, I would highly recommend to go visit your doctor asap and have your self correctly diagnosed so that they can help you learn how to cope and control it. Much love to all of you out there that are silently suffering.

The beauty of being a human is to that we get to experience life and have all types of emotions as we all live through it. However, there are some situations and circumstances that can have both a positive and negative impact and we all should strive to feel all the positive emotions as much as possible.

What I am want to recommend to you now are ways to help improve your quality of life today and for you to keep working on them tomorrow. Some are pretty simple, and there might just be that one to fix it all for you.

Are you ready?

Well okay then. Lets get started.

1.  Unplug from Social Media

Tell me I’m not the only one to notice just how mean and angry people are on Social Media these days. I can be so easily connected to all platforms and I find it difficult to unplug for more than a day since I rely so heavily on these sites for job opportunities. However, having to see so many controversial posts every five minutes where people are arguing and name-calling each other can be quite depressing. I never want to even respond to these posts now and just share memes…you can’t really go wrong with memes.

Well, actually some people seem to get annoyed by the ones I share and end up unfriending me. But usually I have never met some of these people so yeah..no huge loss there. Just one less depressing post I have to see pop up on my news feed.

But for real, taking time to unplug for another less stress activity can be rewarding and allow you experience life away from your..even if its just for an hour starting out. Eventually, you will feel less compelled to check up on it as much and focus on more important activities…like spending time with family. ( I’m working on this one)

2. Work on a good Food/Fitness plan

It’s no secret that there are certain foods and beverages that can contribute to a much happier and healthier lifestyle. We all also want the energy to workout at least a few times a week but without the proper nutrition, the motivation for even that drive to the gym can be erased by one wrong food item.

It’s definitely not a simple task to just change overnight. It takes a lot of discipline and motivational support to change this one. I work a lot out of town and as much as I would like to save money and make my own meals to carry for lunch, I don’t always have the time nor patience. So when I hit Taco Bell after a shift, yes it may be convenient but I end up regretting it later.

I for one have an auto-immune disorder called Hypothyroidism. I’ll admit growing up I just took my medication and didn’t care to even study much about it. After-all, I felt as normal and happy as any kid should. But after becoming an adult and seeing how things like my mood and stress levels were always rocky, I saw how my eating habits contributed to those things as well.

3. Detox negativity from your life

No matter how we all try to do good and live right, there is negativity which often stems from those around us who might be a huge influence in our lives. It’s OK to cut off ties with those people. If you have a toxic friendship or relationship with someone, don’t keep lying to yourself thinking if this or that changes then it will get better. Nope, it won’t.

Just cut the cord now! It hurts when it’s a loved one or close friend but often they will not change their ways until they want to, and honestly there are some who just enjoy being miserable therefore inflicting their misery onto you. It’s not healthy and the only way to get rid of it is cut that person off. This also applies to the Social Media drama.

4. Take time for yourself

We all need this in one form or another. Whether it’s a weekend getaway with a few friends, or a mommies night out. It’s just needed. It never solves the problems, but sometimes that getaway gives you the peace and quiet you need to distress and think about making some tough and important decisions. It’s not healthy to be locked inside the house all day with screaming kids and a nagging partner. Even if it’s to take a drive in the middle of the night, an afternoon Yoga session, always give yourself that time to rejuvenate and ready to tackle the next day.

5. Ease your Financial Burdens

We all like to make our money, but sometimes no matter how hard or how much we work. The finances just keep on piling up on us.

It’s no fun to live paycheck to paycheck but there are ways to make and save more money. There are several investment options out there to look into to help ease their financial stress. Some are safe and some can be very profitable. It’s very important to know which options are the best for us and start making the investments now. We just never know when life will throw us that hardball, so you have to be ready to catch it before it gets thrown.

6. Hate your Job?! Find or Your make your next Career

It’s a lovely idea and can done if the right timely decisions are made. I worked a few part-time and full-time jobs before making the ultimate decision to chase my dream career. It wasn’t all thought out properly but I have a family and a stable financial situation that worked out for me.

I know just how bad one can feel to just live a life just to pay the bills. This can be a dream to some who have come from financial hardships and want to live simple. There is nothing wrong with that. I came from a family that struggled with financial hardships and I knew what it was like to not be able to afford luxury items.

But I also always had this burning passion deep inside me to pursue more than just that life. Reality does set in and we all have to be adults and work but we ALL also deserve the right to pursue our dreams and live the lives we were born to live.

Always make sure to have something lined up for you if you are just simply seeking employment with another company. And also give proper notice so you can have your previous employer put in good word for you. Don’t let that time you spent there be a waste.

If you are looking to be your own boss. Now is the time to take a risk and join in on the entrepreneur express. All aboard!

Providing that you can do this change. Be sure to set some realistic goals and join in on networking groups that can offer great support and guidance for you to build your empire. The sky really is the limit these days and no-one wants to live a life working a job they hate that can have negative impact on your life.

So just go for it!

7. Travel

If you can do it now. Just go! If all you want to do is take a spur of the moment road trip. Just do it. How amazing it is to drive through places you have never been to with people whose company you can enjoy. All of the memories to be made and the souvenirs to collect along the way. I have several vacation ideas pinned to my boards on Pinterest. Some of which I have already visited and would like to return and others I am going to make sure to go to before I kick that ugly old bucket.

This world isn’t just meant for us to set roots in one place. It’s meant to be explored and traveled upon.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my first post. Please feel free to leave any feedback to what you liked or disliked. I always love learning from others.
